2020 Jeep Wrangler New Carrollton, MD
The Jeep Wrangler is the ultimate SUV and will take you almost anywhere you want to go. Jeep made this off-road capable vehicle more on-road friendly with a better suspension for a smoother ride, some luxury amenities in the higher-level trims, and new technology. It comes in both two-door and four-door trims, and depending on the model, there are three primary trim levels with several sub-trims available. Read on to discover the 2020 Wrangler and its various models.

The Sport

The Sport is the entry-level Wrangler for both the two-door and the Unlimited. It has a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 285 horsepower and comes with a six-speed manual transmission and the option for an eight-speed automatic. The Sport comes with removable metal doors, a fold-down front windshield, and manual locks and windows. Along with the rest of the trims, the Sport has tow hooks and skid plates as standard features. For technology, it has a 5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, and a USB port.

The Sport S

The Sport S adds alloy wheels, remote locking and unlocking, and power windows. Inside, there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, along with air conditioning. The Sport S also adds the option for several packages with extra features. The Cold Weather Group adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote start, while the Technology Group adds a 7-inch touch screen along with an upgraded version of the Uconnect infotainment system.

The Sahara

The Sahara trim is only available for the four-door Unlimited Wrangler and it adds some luxury features. On the outside, it has a heavy-duty suspension, full-time four-wheel drive, and unique styling elements. The interior upgrades the cloth upholstery and adds two USB ports for the rear seat. It also adds a 115-volt power outlet and an upgraded Uconnect system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite radio. The larger screen comes standard. An 8.4-inch touch screen is an available option for the Sahara, which has faster inputs and a smoother operation.

The Rubicon

For the most off-road ready Wrangler, choose the Rubicon. This comes in both two and four-door models and adds an off-road performance suspension, a locking rear differential, heavy-duty axles, and an electronically disconnecting front stabilizer bar. It also has rock rails, special off-road tires, a power winch, and 17-inch wheels.

New Special Edition Models

Jeep added two new sub-trims to the 2020 Wrangler lineup. The Altitude for the Unlimited model has 18-inch wheels, a rear window defroster, and a hardtop with a rear window washer. It also comes with leather upholstery, and it has a leather-wrapped shift knob. The new Black and Tan Wrangler builds on the Sport S with side rails, all-terrain tires, and a 7-inch touch screen. You also get satellite radio with the Black and Tan edition, along with the Uconnect system. There is a lot to consider when looking at the 2020 Jeep Wrangler. With several trims, two body styles, and lots of optional equipment, there is a Wrangler for every driver.

6 Tips for the Perfect Maryland Road Trip

Do you have some vacation time coming, and you’re thinking about taking a road trip? A Maryland road trip could be the perfect addition to your travel plans. But before you hop in the car, there are a couple of steps you can take to make sure your trip is smooth and enjoyable for all involved. 1. Pack a Snack Bag Packing snacks, and maybe a small cooler with cold drinks, will keep you and your traveling buddies fueled and hydrated. Resist the temptation to load up on sugary snacks, particularly if young travelers are in the car. String cheese, nuts, protein bars, rice cakes, and even hard-boiled eggs for the cooler are all excellent options. more 2. Plan Breaks Depending on the length of your trip, you may want to plan one or more stops that allow you to stretch your legs and use the bathroom. There are also sites all over the state that offer the opportunity for a longer break. A picnic at one of the parks along the Chesapeake Bay or a stop at one of the historic sites around Baltimore will get you out of the car for a few hours and add enrichment to your trip. 3. Make Sure You Know Where You're Headed Many of today's vehicles come equipped with GPS, and most smartphones have that capability as well. But it's a good idea to have a map in the car. That way even if you lose Wi-Fi or your smartphone battery is getting low, you'll still be able to get where you're going. Paper maps also make for a fun geography lesson for kids. 4. Pick Out Some Tunes for Your Travel The perfect playlist will make your trip more fun, and it can also help keep you entertained. Make sure to involve every member of your traveling party as you plan your road trip music. 5. Prepare for Comfort There are a couple of steps that can be taken to ensure the comfort of everyone in the car. First, consider throwing a blanket and a hand-held fan in the cabin of the vehicle. These can be used by passengers who are overly cold or warm. And if you're the one behind the wheel, pay attention to your posture and how you're sitting. Try not to slouch, consider using a small pillow to support your lower back, and use cruise control, which allows your feet to rest squarely on the floor of the vehicle. 6. Develop a Strategy for Staying Alert If you're driving for an extended period of time, look for ways to stay fresh and alert. Keeping the windows cracked open for fresh air, chewing gum, singing along with your music, and conversing with your passengers are all ideal ways to stay focused and alert. If you ever have questions about your oil, don't hesitate to contact our Jeep Service Department in New Carrollton, MD. We aim to answer as many of your queries as we can below. Jeep Oil Change Tips 1. Check Your Manual All Jeep models are slightly different, so the advice in your manual will be specific to your vehicle. It may provide a smaller mileage range than the one stated above. Follow your manual's advice on how often you need to get your oil changed. more 2. Change Even If You Don't Drive Much If you don't drive often, you might think that you can go longer between oil changes. Unfortunately, oil spoils even when you haven't been driving. You should still change your oil once or twice per year, even if you haven't driven 7,500-10,000 miles. 3. Ask Your Dealer If you're not sure how often you should be changing your oil, talk to your dealer. Describe your driving habits and mention how often you drive. Consulting a Jeep specialist can help you figure out how frequent you should change your oil. 4. Check Your Oil You should check our oil level frequently. You should be checking how much oil you have left, but you should also check the consistency of your oil. If your oil's texture has changed, then it's time to replace your oil. Signs That You Need an Oil Change 1. Exhaust Fumes Your vehicle shouldn't have visible exhaust fumes. If you suddenly see smoke exiting your tailpipe, then that's a sign that your oil isn't functioning correctly. Get your oil changed, and your vehicle should return to normal. 2. Rapidly Decreasing Oil Level If your oil level is falling faster than usual, then there's a fault in the system. Get a technician to take a look. The technician will repair the fault, and they'll change your oil, too. 3. Louder Engine If your engine is suddenly louder than usual, that may be an oil issue. Get your engine checked out. The technician will repair a faulty engine, and they'll replace old oil. 4. Ticking Noises If your engine is making a ticking noise when you start your Jeep, that's another sign that you need an oil change. The ticking sound usually occurs if your oil has changed texture. Get to a dealer, and get your oil changed. It'd also be a good idea to get your engine checked out for faults. Why Choose Your New Carrollton Dealer? While any qualified mechanic can easily change your oil, it's best to go to a dealer. Your dealership's technician is most likely an expert on your vehicle's make and model. Dealerships often provide extra services with an oil change, too. If you need an oil change, come and see us at DARCARS Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of New Carrollton.
